Introduction: Amyloid accumulation in the thyroid gland leading to a clinically detectable mass is a rare clinical entity. The diagnosis of thyroid amyloidosis can be confused clinically as well as cytologically with both colloidal goiter or neoplastic processes of the thyroid.
